  • Elyria Farmers Market: Head to East Falls Riverwalk on Kerstetter Way every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to purchase locally grown and sourced produce. The last one for the summer takes place on Sept. 14; don’t miss your chance! Learn more here.
  • BrewFest Waterfront District: Nearby Lorain, Ohio, will host this year’s BrewFest Waterfront District on Saturday, Aug. 10, from noon to 6 p.m. If you love craft beer and live music, this event at Black River Landing is for you. Learn more here.
  • Firewalk 2019: Not far from Elyria is Oberlin, which will be hosting the 13th Annual Gregg Gilder Memorial Firewalk on Sept. 7 at the Common Ground at the Cindy Nord Center for Renewal. The workshop is limited to just 100 participants, so sign up now. Learn more here.
  • Tee’d Off for the Kids Charity Golf Outing: This ninth annual golf event includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, a steak dinner, and beer (and other drinks). It takes place at Bob-O-Link Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 17. Learn more here.

  • Allen Memorial Art Museum – Now celebrating its centennial anniversary, the Allen Memorial Art Museum features more than 14,000 words of all cultures and history. A vital resource for Oberlin College and the surrounding community alike, there’s plenty to see and experience at this museum.
  • 103rdOhio Volunteer Infantry Civil War Museum – Those in search of a day in the air conditioning will find no better place than the 103rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Civil War Museum. The museum is home to a vast number of Civil War artifacts and is dedicated to those who served from 1861 to 1865.
